How we use your information
- To provide a broadband, home phone and digital TV availability check - If you carry out an availability check on this service, we will use your postcode to carry out that check. Different suppliers provide their services to different parts of the country and this is determined by postcode. The postcode check is essential to show you the suppliers that are available where you live. We keep this information for a maximum of 3 years.
- To track an order you have placed - If you place an order with a supplier by telephone (for example if you call BT to purchase a broadband service), we may collect your phone number to track the progress of the order you have placed. We keep this information for a maximum of 12 months.
- To remind you of your comparison search - If you enter your email address before you click through to a supplier, we may send you an email with a reminder of the last deal you viewed and keep a record of those results. We keep this information for a maximum of 12 months.
- To fulfil a reward or special offer - If you place an order for a product that qualifies for a reward or special offer, we will use your personal information so that you can redeem that reward or special offer.We keep this information for a maximum of 12 months.
- To help you with an enquiry - If Comparethemarket.com asks us to do so, we will use your personal information to communicate with you and help sort out your enquiry. We keep this information for a maximum of 3 years.
- To analyse and improve our services - We will use information of your visits to this service and how you use it so that we can devise ways of improving the layout of the service and create new services to make the experience more enjoyable and the easier to use. Broadband, home phone and digital TV availability check
If you use our availability checker to find suppliers in your area, we will share your postcode with the company that helps us to maintain that service.
- The postcode availability tool is a complex system and we use an external software development company to ensure that the system is kept accurate and up-to-date. The company is based in the UK.
- We may also share your postcode with a company called SamKnows. SamKnows provides broadband availability data to price comparison websites and this service can help increase the accuracy of the results we show you. The company is based in the UK.
These companies will not share your information with any other company or use it for any other purpose.
Phone order tracking
We use a company called Responsetap to help us track phone orders placed with suppliers.
ResponseTap is a call tracking company based in the UK.
If you phone a supplier's call centre to place an order, we will share your phone number with ResponseTap solely to monitor the progress of your order. They will not share this information with any other company or use it for any other purpose.
We use a service called Google Cloud Platform to help us manage our email services. If you provide us with your personal information so that Comparethemarket.com can send you emails about products and any special offers, we will share this information with Google Cloud Platform solely to help provide this service.
Google Cloud Platform is part of Google that provides powerful, scalable and highly secure cloud computing services for businesses. The company is based in the US.
They will not share your information with any other company or use it for any other purpose.
Special offers and rewards
We use a company called Zendesk to help us manage customer services enquiries. If Comparethemarket.com asks us to provide assistance with a customer services enquiry, we will share this information with Zendesk solely to provide this service.
Zendesk is a customer service software platform that helps us effectively categorise enquiries and respond to them as efficiently as possible. Zendesk is based in the US. They will not share your information with any other company or use it for any other purpose.
To solve some enquiries, we may need to share your personal information with the broadband service provider you placed your order with.
Service analysis and improvement

Amazon Web Services is part of Amazon that provides powerful, scalable and highly secure cloud computing services for businesses. The company is based in the US but your personal information is only processed in the EU. The company will not share your information with any other company or use it for any other purpose.
We are a partner of Comparethemarket.com. They use Decision Tech to provide this broadband, TV and mobile phone comparison service.
We link to other companies' websites from this service (such as the suppliers of the broadband service you have selected).
